Marian Liddell is a filmmaker based and native to Los Angeles and has been making films since she first picked up a Super 8 camera at The Echo Park Film Center when she was 16 years old. She studied Film/Video at the California Institute for the Arts and acting under Eric Morris. Her films explore feminine individuation and weave both dreams and nightmares to create lushly tactile immersive experiences. Her short. “Longing” won “Best Fetish Art Film” at the 2015 LA Fetish Film Festival, with Marian Liddell’s previous short “Unbind” winning “Best Short” in 2012. Her most recent short “Wonder” screened this November as a part of Invocations, an evening of short films by female filmmakers which she programmed at the Echo Park Film Center. To date, she has also acted in all her films.
